Bridal FAQ’s

Here I have included some of the common questions I receive, but if you have any others please do not hesitate to contact me.

Q: When should I schedule a bridal trial?

A: You should schedule a bridal trial when it's most convenient for you! Prefrebly 2-3 months before your wedding. If you have an engagment shoot or bridal shower coming up, you can schedule your trial on the same day. Once I confirm my avilablity for your wedding day, feel free to book a trial. I am avilable for trials everyday except Saturdays.

Q: Where are trials held and how long are they?

A: At my studio located in Lanham, MD. Trials run about 60 to 75 minutes.

Q: How soon should I book you?

A: As soon as you know I'm your artist. You may book 12 months in advance. Bookings for the next year open in September. High demand months are June, August, and September.

Q: How do I book my wedding date?

A: Complete a bridal inquiry form and Lauren will contact you with a quote. Once you confirm by choosing a package, a bridal contract and invoice will be sent to you. Please advise, dates are only reserved when both bridal contact and invoice are completed. Should the invoice and contract expire you will have to begin the booking process again.

Q: On the day of, should I do my hair first?

A: It's your day so whatever works for you works for me. I always suggest hair first. Sometimes heated applicances, sprays, and edge controls can interfere with the makeup application.

Q: Will I need to touch up my makeup?

A: I use products that are designed to last, but you may need to touch up your makeup. The time between makeup application, ceremony and reception, weather, how much you cry are all factors that can effect on makeup longevity. All brides will recieve a touch up kit.

Q: Will you stay to touch up my makeup?

A: Yes, upon avilablity. Fee's will apply.

Q: I have a large bridal party, can you accomodate them?

A: Yes, I will bring another makeup artist with me with similar skill level to assist me complete your party. 10 party max including the bride.

Q: I only want you to do my bridal makeup, is this possible?

A: Yes! I have bridal only packages.

Q: I booked a makeup artist for myself, can you service my bridal party?

A: Unfortunaetly, I only service bridal parties when booked with bride.

Q: How long does each makeup application take?

A: I usually allow 45 to 60 minutes for bridesmaids and other members of the bridal party. If a trial has been done beforehand, I allow 60 to 75 for the bride.

Q: Do you travel to various locations or out of state?

A: Yes!. Fee's will apply.

Q: Do you do airbrush?

A: Unfortunetly I do not offer airbrushing. Traditional foundation applications gives brides more options in texture, formula, and coverage.
